Periodontal Problems

Periodontal problems are often painless so they can go unnoticed for long periods of time causing increased oral hygiene risks. Periodontal problems can range from minor to severe, and are best diagnosed by your dentist. The best protection for your oral hygiene health is to visit the dentist and use products to decrease your chances of periodontal problems. Most people assume that if they brush their teeth daily, rinse with mouthwash they are safe from periodontal problems. This is not the case. Plaque is difficult to remove from the teeth and certain health situations can cause an increased risk of periodontal problems. It is important that you understand the product that you choose to assist with your periodontal health. Only use products that are natural and not harsh on the teeth or gums.

How to choose a product that will protect your oral health:

  • A product that cleanses your teeth, gums and tongue with every use. One that can penetrate in and below the gum to kill bacteria that is hard to reach.
  • A product that reduces the tartar by breaking it down. This reduces the bacteria because there is no film to hide in.
  • A product that protects the gums and tongue by keeping it clean and fresh feeling.
  • A product that prevents bad breath but cleaning the mouth and teeth. Halitosis is caused by the bacteria in the mouth and remaining food particles.
