Natural Toothpastes Don’t Contain Blue Dye – Why It MattersFlip over that tube of toothpaste you have been using. Before you put it into your mouth again, look at the ingredients list. If you see something called blue dye, stop using it. For many people, this can be a very risky situation and it should be something you avoid if at all possible. Natural toothpaste is a better option. Natural toothpaste does not contain any type of chemical product, including various dyes. It also does a fantastic job of fighting bacteria that cause dental conditions. Why Blue Dye Matters Any chemical found in toothpaste is a bad thing and something you should avoid whenever possible. Blue dye specifically is bad, as is FD dye. Both are petroleum based dyes. They can easily cause allergic reactions in some people and some evidence suggests that these dyes can cause tumors to occur. While there is still much research to be done to determine if the dye is in fact the cause of the tumor, or just a situation in which it worsens the chances for developing it, we do know that blue dye is bad for you. Why Risk It? The good news is that you can fight off the bacteria in your mouth with natural toothpaste and avoid any of the complications you are facing as a result of these chemical dyes. There is no risk to using natural toothpaste. However it does an effective job of cleansing your teeth, giving you fresh breath and fighting off the bacteria present in your mouth. Considering this, it makes sense for you to use natural toothpaste rather than any chemical based product.
