Peppermint and spearmint oils are naturally beneficial at killing bacteria in and along the gum line, so consider looking for a product that contains these ingredients in their most pure form.

Bacteria is always present in our mouth, and can be responsible for a variety of problems including bad breath, gum infections or possibly more serious illnesses like heart disease if they are left untreated.  While nothing can replace good brushing and flossing along with regular care by a dental professional, certainly good quality oral care products can make a big impact on not only your oral health but the health of your entire body.
